The comfortable 4-man tents usually have a living room / vestibule as a lounge. In bad weather, you will have a cozy place to sit, relax, play or read. Two sleeping cabins complete the 4 man tent. Various structural differences provide for an immense variety in the market. Ventilation: Ideal is when a double roof is installed in the tent. Due to the high ventilation, more pleasant temperatures inside the tent are achieved in hot outside temperatures. The hot air rises and the heat is dissipated directly over the roof. Small sunroofs over the side doors prevent direct sunlight. Did you know that you should protect your tent in the southern climes with a tarp? A fabric tarpaulin suspended above the tent can drastically reduce the temperature inside the tent. Since the UV rays do not bounce directly onto the tent skin, this protects your family tent from premature aging.
Use: 4 man tents are perfect for a holiday with the family, but also for a longer holiday for two. The tent has enough space to store your luggage, cooking utensils and everything you need. Before buying a tent, decide on how you want to travel and what you need your tent for. A large comfortable tent with a slightly longer construction is well suited for a long-term vacation in one place. A tighter tunnel tent is more suitable for an active holiday with frequent changes of location.
A cotton tent has a pleasant indoor climate, but with a much higher weight and a huge pannier. All manufacturers have worked on the optimal air conditioning and now there are good polyester tents in this category which are almost as pleasant the cotton ones. Smaller polyester tunnel tents are usually quicker and easier to handle, but in bad weather they can be challenging for the whole family. For camping with the whole family we recommend a tent with more space.

So the sand stays in front of the tent and in the rain the floor of your 4-man tent remains dry. Keep your clothes, cookware, and food clean for longer. It often makes sense to simply use a sleeping cabin as a pantry. So insects and busg stay outside and the clothes are free from dust and dirt. If your tent does not have a floor, it is recommended to place a towel or some other form of foot bumper in front of the sleeping cabin.

Tent poles are a quality feature. The sturdier the rods the more carefree the holiday

If the poles are marked with color markings, the set up, especially of tunnel tents, is very fast and comfortable. Not every tent has these markings, but here you can help yourself easily and cheaply with colored tape. Numbering the rods can also help. You will find out for yourself how it is easiest for you. Round trips with daily set up of the family tent are pleasantly possible with good tents. As usual, practice makes perfect.

Always prepare your tent for a test before each holiday. So you practice the process, have an idea of the size of your tent and are in all respects on the safe side. It makes no difference whether you set up your used tent from the basement or your brand new current tunnel tent. Test if they are complete. You do not want to have an unfortunate awakening on your deserved vacation. Nothing is more annoying than a forgotten pole bag, or you drove off without guylines and pegs.

Water in the camping tent? This is not a sign of poor quality. In most cases, condensation is the reason.
Always ensure good ventilation! Lay out your sleeping bags to dry, use the built-in ventilation in the tent! Many small problems arise in 4-man tent due to lack of fresh air. Only in rare cases, the tent is really leaking. All seams are thoroughly impregnated during production and the quality of the impregnation is tested regularly on a random basis. We have found that the impregnation can turn out a little thin from time to time on subsequently sewn fasteners or poorly accessible places.
Do not let such small things louse up your holiday! We recommend having seam sealing in yur luggage as a precaution. The handling is simple, the bottles are stable for a few years and if it has dripped before you know, the benefits are much greater than the costs.
Always treat the seams from the inside! Only then can the seam density work optimally.

Tent care: It is highly recommended after the holiday to check the tent on bird droppings, rain streaks and other dirt and remove it as soon as possible. Take a special tent cleaner for cloth care. More and more cleaners on an environmentally friendly and easily degradable basis are available on the market. Please use it! Your environment will thank you. With a few simple steps, your tent will stay colorful, friendly and dense for longer. Allow your tent to dry well before packing it away for travel free time, so avoid foxing.
